I'm Hyperallergic!
Ok, so you don't know what that is. It wasn't very long ago that I didn't either. Hypoallergic is an online arts magazine. And my studio is in it!!

Too fun!
I just wanted to spend a moment today mentioning some of the things that I am grateful for today. After all, if we are not grateful for the good things that have come our way, we might as well just tattoo "curmudgeon" onto our foreheads.
So here goes:
I'm grateful that my lovely client who commissioned a triptych loves the final result.
I'm grateful for my sweet guy who thinks (knows?!!) that I am a fabulous artist and encourages me.
I'm grateful that I don't have to rely on selling art to pay my mortgage, given that art sales rise to stratospheric levels (for me, anyway) one month and fall the next month.
I'm grateful that I have the ability create beauty which adds so much to our poor, sad world.
I'm grateful for the experience of selling art, putting it out there, asking the Universe for assistance and talking to folks who love my work.
I'm grateful for my friends who not only support me but provide needed relief from the drudgery part of the business of art.
I'm grateful to live in beautiful Denver. This sun-shiny, happy city is and has everything I've ever wanted and then some.
There is much, much more but this non-exhaustive gratitude list will, I hope, get you thinking about your own list of thing to be grateful for.
Happy Sunday.
Actually, I don't have an easel. My art is created on panels that are laid horizontally. Flat. Perfectly flat, preferably. But the online arts magazine Hyperallergic, is doing a series of features on artists studios. My studio (no brag, just fact) is in the current edition.
YEA!! I'M PUBLISHED!

Take a look!
I read a blog post today by Pamela Beer entitled, "12 Things I learned in a Year". Frankly, I think it took me more than a year to learn these 12 things. Maybe I'm a little slow. In any event, Pamela said it all so well that I'm just going to repost her article here.
