Hi Everyone! 

 

I hope this email finds you well and having a blast savoring these cool fall days.  Gotta love the 2 weeks or so of fall we have every year, right?

 

So, on to resin secrets.  I’ll reveal just one today.   Resi-blast.

 

This week I used Resi-blast, a new-to-me product.  Resi-blast creates “cells, lacing and blooming” per the label.  I know what cells are; little circles in a resin color.  Lacing is self explanatory.  Blooming (like flowers?) is kind of along the same line, I think.

 

In any event, I mixed Resi-blast into the gray and white in this piece:

Cool, right?  Yes, yes I know no one says cool anymore.  A friend of mine from my era (we both lived during the dinosaurs) uses “groovy” which is a fab alternative to “cool”.

 

Back to the topic.  Resi-blast is created some fabulous effects.  I’m going to continue to experiment with it so watch my website, PatriciaJFinley.com/New Work, for groovy new work.  In fact, at the bottom of the first page of my website, you can sign up for “New Art Alerts” which will get you an emailed pic of each new piece I post.

 

The other cool/groovy/fab thing that my website does is let you project a piece virtually onto the wall of your own home.  You do this by opening my website on your smart phone (laptops won’t work) then click on a piece.  Click on “More Info”.  Go to “AR Live Preview”.  You can then see the piece projected onto the wall that your camera is aimed at.  You can make the piece bigger or smaller as you wish. 

 

Very groovy.
