Back to "Normal"

Hi!

Isn’t it great to be back to “normal”?  I feel so very … free.  In the last couple of weeks, my hubby and I went to an art opening, ate out at a restaurant (Barcelona in RINO), listened to jazz at Nocturne, had the Walker Fine Art crew (all vaccinated) over to our house for wine, hors d’oeuvres and art selection for the upcoming show and had our wine tasting group (all vaccinated) over for a potluck dinner with (duh!) wine.  All of this was our basic normal, as in the way things used to be.  Very 2019.

And it felt good.

Have you gotten back to your normal yet?  I’d love to hear what your favorite return to normal thing is that you’re doing now.  Hit “reply” and let me know.

Well our show at the Lakewood Cultural Center with fab artists/friends Lydia Riegle, Janet Rundquist and Cyncie Winter is up and it looks gorgeous.  We have very different styles and mediums but somehow our pieces flow together.  Some of that is due to the wonderful job that the curator, Laine Godsey, did of arranging the show.  You really must go see it.

SAVE THE DATE: We’re have an actual, in person, just-like-we-used-to art show opening on July 8 from 5 – 8 pm.  We artists will be chatting about our art at 6 or so (last I heard; check their website to make sure of the time).  If you miss the opening, no worries as the show is up until August 20.

While Bobbi Walker of Walker Fine Art hasn’t made a final selection of the pieces that will be in my Walker Fine Art show, one of  two pieces will be the show announcement card - either Building a Mystery or Besame Mucho.

This show opens on July 16.  Walker will have an opening event, aka a party, just like in the “old days”. Now that you’re free to mingle in person with other humans without endangering your life, it would be great if you came to our opening July 16 from 5- 8pm.  If not, you have until September 4 to see my work at Walker Fine Art, 300 W 11th Ave, Unit A, Denver, CO 80204.  The entrance is on Cherokee.

Now, just one more thing.  I’m thinking of slashing the prices on my small works and putting them on Etsy or Ebay.  My question to you is do you shop on Etsy or Ebay?  Does anyone you know?  Do you think this will be worthwhile?

Just so you know, I for sure will offer my small works to you first.

Take good care,

Pat
