April Art Adventures

It's April and it looks like Spring has at last sprung.  It's about time.  I'm ready for winter to be over and done with!  Back to bike riding, sunshine and (eventually) hiking in the mountains.

I don't know if you have yet signed up for the BBC Culture newsletter but one gem from the most recent newsletter is this article on fabulous libraries around the world. http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20190305-nine-stunning-contemporary-libraries .
Fascinating.  I'm a library lover as well as an architectural admirer, as you might guess if you follow me on Instagram for I often post pictures of the books that I am currently reading.  For example, I recently posted a few brief thoughts on Mary Piper's "Women Rowing North; navigating life's changes and flourishing as we age."  It's a worthwhile read, especially for women of, er, a certain age.  Basically, it's about savoring life and how the featured women have met the challenges that life, their crazy vida loca, has thrown at them.  It's a worthwhile read.

Outside of that, we've been busy here preparing to travel to Africa in May on safari.  I can't wait!  But I've gotta get some work done first so I'm off to the studio.

Btw, feel free to forward this blog to friends.  If you do, your friends will think you are artsy and culturally savvy.  (Not really but one can hope!)

Take good care and savor the beginning of spring.

Pat
